To celebrate the release of NEW MOON today, we're highlighting the Artful INKables Twilight inspired sets: Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired. Artful INKables also has a set of Vampire Romance Themed Charms available!

Artful INKables is also sponsoring Twilight Tuesday’s Hop that include Twilight Prizes, so be sure to check them out today as well!

Instead of a card, I made goody bags for the kids that are going with us...gotta keep their energy up between movies! I got the popcorn bags at Michael's and are made by Wilton. The stamps are from the Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired. I used watercolors and cut out the apple from red paper to make it stand out. I used Staz-On inks - Jet Black, Blazing Red, Moonlight White. Goodies are New Moon candy from Walgreens and Twilight conversation hearts. Also, hiding are trading cards and themed jewelry.

The next stop on the hop is Erica!

Bella's Bracelet

Here is my version of Bella's bracelet. I have made four so far and I think they are pretty good. In the story, the wolf is carved from wood, but I have no skill in that area, so I have the pewter charm. I am still debating about seeing if some brown Staz-On will stick to it. I found the chain at HL already put together, just had to add the charms. If you haven't read the books, here is the reason for the bracelet. Jacob, Bella's best friend and werewolf, gives her a silver bracelet with a tiny carved russett-colored wolf that Jacob hand carved. Edward was upset that Bella accepted a gift from Jacob, but always refuses Edward (she feels he is enough). Edward convinces her to accept from him on the grounds that it cost nothing. He give her a small crystal heart charm (it's diamond, but she doesn't know that), telling her it is like him - hard and sparking. Bella reminds him beautiful, too. So there is you tease, read the book. Thanks for looking!

Twilight: New Moon - Halloween Treats

Okay, so my kids love Twilight and asked that their treats match their costumes - Edward Cullen and Jane Volturi. How can you resist a request like that? So, Walgreens carries Twilight candy in the Halloween section and I put them in candy baggies and made little toppers. Bags are 3x4 so toppers are cut at 3.25x3.75. I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch then folded in half and added a silver strip that was 1.5x3 inches. I used Jet Black Staz-On and the images are from Artful Inkables Twilight-inspired rubber stamps. Jacob's is a paw with Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? Bella's is My Vampire can beat your Werewolf any day. Edward's is Vampire's Rule, Werewolves Drool. Easy-peasy! Aren't they just too cute? Thanks for looking!

Christmas Cards

Here are the Christmas cards from Amy's stamp class. I just love them both. One is using the Sizzix Big Shot to cut the card and the ornament all at the same time. Super neat! Colors are Bashful Blue, Real Red, Old Olive, and More Mustard and uses the new Ornament tag set from SU!. The background of the card was used with Versamark. We also used the stretchy silver chord for the hangers and SU's rub ons. She also had us use a three flower punch to punch out the snowflake image and raise it on dimensionals. So cute! (Sorry for the wonky turn on the image...won't let me flip it for some silly reason and I am too tired to fight it)

The other card was using some of the new designer paper in Soft Suede. Other colors are Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, and Brocade Blue. The snowflake on the scallop circle was supposed to have a pearl on it, but we misplaced them...bummer, but it doesn't detract too much. I would have never picked these colors for a Christmas card, but how cute is it?!?! Both are standard A2 size and will fit in a basic envelope. Thanks for looking!

Twilight bracelet...

Okay, so my soul-sister, Amy, and I decided to avoid our families and housework to go to Hobby Lobby. It doesn't happen often because it is a 30-mintue drive and we have five kids between the two of us, so this was a major event. We are trolling the isles and of course we hit the clearance isle, when Amy practically starts to squeal...yes, squeal. She found...Bella's truck!!!! OME, and it is only .67 cents! Duh, like we aren't going to buy it. So here we are, sitting in the clearance isle picking through charms looking for more. We come up with plenty and none are more than .75 cents, so we are happy campers. Now, of course we have to go to the jewelry isle and look for...the diamond heart...and good god, it was expensive! They come in packs of five and run from $5.99 to 7.99...good thing I dazzled the cashier into adding it to the 50% off charms sale along with the premade bracelets. These bracelets come with the jump rings alread on them and you just add the charm. I picked two...black for Jake and red for Eclipse and the apple. Here is what I have on mine: the diamond heart (you all know why it's there), Bella's truck, dice for Alice (cuz you never bet against Alice) also want a purse or credit card...come on, this is Alice after all!, fish for Charlie (may look for a gun too), baseball glove for Vamp baseball (enough said...they also had balls, bats, etc.), a bear with the paw print on the back for Emmett, a wolf for Jake (I know, it isn't wood, but what more do you want from me???), a motorcycle for riding with Jake and Bella's stupid stunts, music note for Edward (because Amy got the last piano...grrrrr), a cowboy hat for Jazz (couldn't find a mood ring, but I may get a Texas state or flag to add), a cross for Carlisle (also want a stethoscope or the doctor's emblem), and a paint pallette and tape measure for Esme (they also had measuring spoons, and gardening stuff, but I may look for a scroll or blueprint or a tiny house). I made sure to put the wolf and heart away from each other and when I attach the two bracelets together, they hang just perfect. Anyhoo, there you have it my little obsession on a bracelet. Now, run to HL and get yours so you can wear it to New Moon in November! Thanks for looking!

Getting back in the groove

Okay, so my mojo has been zilch since Christmas! I finally had to break down and make a couple of birthday goodies, so here they are... They are video rental night gifts. We bought movie theater candy from the bin at Walmart, some microwave popcorn packets, and a gift card to our local rental shop. Use glue dots to help adhear the boxes and gift card where you want them. Add a topper...colors are from the Bold Brights color family from Stampin Up! I used a scolloped punch, circle punches, and the stamps are from SU and the dollar bin at Michael's. On the rocket I used water colors to give it a little color without being heavy like markers. It is a great and quick gift idea because the kids love to pick out their friends fav candies and often times gets them a movie date with their friends. Parents rave about the economical idea and an opportunity for a no-brain family night!
There you have it and thanks for looking! I will hopefully post more soon...after I get my mojo back and my craft area reorganized...yeah right, with three kids, who knows how long that will take???
