Hey there! We are starting to convert my 10 year-old's room to a Twilight theme. She has only read the first two books, but she loves it and asked to change over. Here are the pillows for her reading corner. I found pillows at Walmart for $2.50 and the cases are 2 for $5.50 from their Home Trends collection. BTW, they come in these great little fabric bags with snaps, so bonus project! I used Staz-On to stamp. One pillow has paw prints and the Team Jacob stamp and the other side has a heart that says "dazzled" and the Team Edward stamp. The other red pillow has "I like books with a little bite" and a smile with fangs. One of the black pillows (not pictured) has Cullen crests in White Staz-On, but it faded so much in the wash that I couldn't get a good picture. The color doesn't do it justice...they are maroon. I used the button to give it some shape and seal the pillow in place, since they are floor pillows.
We are working on more for her room and will post pictures once it is done later this spring. Thanks for looking! April

TTIC 60 Final Challenge Blog Hop
I am so sad Tonya and the girls are letting Twilight Tuesdays go, but here is my entry. The challenge is to incorporate the printed word. I decided on my favorite passage from Chapter 1 First Sight. It is the passage about Charlie giving Bella the truck. It is a pine needle background, then I printed the passage on cardstock and used an edger punch, tore the edges and inked with Chestnut Roan. Truck is from SU!'s Loads of Love and is stamped on Really Rust. I used a silver metallic to fill in details. A few embellies and you're done! Thanks for looking! April
P.S. You should be coming from Chelsea's blog or you can check back at Twilight Tuesdays. As of this posting, I am the end of the line, but don't take my word for it...double check!
Update: I won! Look at the set I won from the Blog Hop! Thanks so much to Tonya and the girls at Twilight Tuesdays Inspiration Challenge. I can't wait to use the set! I will miss seeing the challenges and what everyone creates.

Percy Jackson favors
Here are the goodies for my daughter's Percy Jackson and the Olympians party. I bought t-shirts and ink-jet iron on transfers at Michael's. I set up the Camp Half-Blood with Dalek font from daFont.com, then simply ironed them to the shirts. The fronts of the shirts have the same Ancient Greek font as the tags.
I then used the Dalek font to make the Hershey bar wraps. I set the word processor to 6.5 x 11 and centered the writing. I cut the 2 inches extra off, then in half, making two per sheet of paper. I then tore the edges and inked in Chestnut Roan and Charcoal cat's eye chalk ink. Wrap and tape...super easy.
I rolled the shirts, then sat the candy bar on top, using some ribbon and attaching the tags. So cute and I know the girls will love them! Thanks for looking! April

Teacher's Valentines...
So, here are the Valentine's for the teachers. The larger one is a 5x8 mini legal pads from Walmart. The cover is 11.25 x 8.5 and I added a panel that is 3 inches inside to tuck the back of the notepad in. Next, I trimmed it with coordinating papers and ribbon...add a bit of sewing for an extra touch. I stamped the notepads to match the design. The smaller ones are 4x6 pads and the covers measure 9.25 x 6.5. I took 1/2 inch strips of leftover paper and rolled it to fit inside the pens. Cute and simple.
A hint on sewing on paper. Trim the thread on the topside of the design right up to the paper, then leave a length on the back and used a bit of scotch tape on the back to keep the stitching from unravelling. As always, thanks for looking and Happy Valentine's!
