My BFF's mom was recently diagnosed with uterine cancer, so I decided to make a card to send her. I checked online and learned uterine cancer is a peach ribbon, so I used Peach Parfait to make her card. The stamps are from MFT's girl graphic tee set and is stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. I stamped the ribbons all over the base of the card, then layered with Chocolate Chip textured cardstock, Peach Parfait that is punched with the mini dotted scallop border punch from EK Success, and a doily. The flower is from a tutorial I did a couple of years ago, using flower confetti from Michael's Brides line. You can find them in colors now, as well as the pearly white. I used a copic marker to color the gem in the center before attaching with glue dots. Thanks for looking! April

My Paper Pumpkin Welcome kit
So I am trying out the SU subscription of My Paper Pumpkin. While I like the premade kit, I absolutely love the alterations I have been seeing. I knew I would do one like the sample showed but the rest I would play with. I figured the finished products would make great gifts. I also found a fab challenge group that utilizes the kits in their challenges at My Paper Pumpkin Challenge and this month is a shapes challenge.
I found my inspiration for the alternatives on pinterest, but added a few tweeks of my own. I have a MPP board where I have them all pinned. So, without further ado, here we go...

Yummy SMASH
So I have been collecting things from some of my favorite places and things to eat. I still have a few spots to fill in, but it's coming along. I love Friendly's build-a-burger...so many options! I also fell in love with Orange Leaf fro-yo while on vacation. I even kept a bowl and cut the spoon handle down to fit on the page. I am looking for a Chick-Fil-A sticker or something with the cow but I have a receipt with my favorite meal on it. Those Peppridge Farm cheesecake cookies are to die for! Thanks for looking! April

Butterfly Sympathy
Can I just say how much I HATE making Symapthy cards? My husband's aunt passed unexpectedly and I am just saddened and shocked by the number of people we love around us who are passing. I know, Circle of Life and all that, but really...
This is a stock card base. The paper is 7 gypsies. The sentiment and butterfly are stamped on scraps of the reverse side of the base patterned paper. I used the medallion from the retired SU set Day of Gratitude, stamped in versamark and embossed with silver powder. The butterfly is from 7 gypsies and is stamped in versamark and embossed in gold. I bent the wings and used a glue dot to hold down the body, then used dimensionals on the wings. The sentiment is from SU best of set and is stamped in Jet Black Staz-On, then mounted with dimensionals.
Inside is the Robert Frost poem Nothing Gold Can Stay.
