Susie at White Ribbon Cards is doing a Black & White challenge in celebration of her wedding and blog. Here is my Happy Anniversary card...inside reads "Still fashionable after all these years." I made ones like this for a swap, but have changed it up a bit. On the left, I used Staz-On in Jet black. The right, uses Versamark and black embossing powder. I like the right one because the color is richer, but even with the embossing magic, it still left some embossing residue that makes it look like a black halo around the image. I have tried other images in black but still end up with the ugly mess. The red is Crayola water color. The image is matted on black cardstock and a simple clean red ribbon is added for a finishing touch. Thanks to Susie for the challenge! Thanks for looking...April
Update: Well, I didn't win the challenge, but that's okay...I have a couple new cards to use later. The winner made a card personalized for the bride and groom with their names and wedding date. Pop over and take a look.
