Movie Popcorn Teacher Gift

Well, the end of another school year is here and I have finally finished the teacher gifts. We got the popcorn holders cheap at Target. Then, I stuffed tissue paper and yellow shredded paper in it. Next, I added a packet of microwave popcorn and snack size M&M's along with a gift card for a movie rental.
I made sleeves for the gift cards our of black cardstock cut at 4.75x3.25 and run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then wrapped them around the gift card and sealed with adhesive. I wiggled the card out one side and used a 1 inch circle punch to make the notch on the wrapper then pushed the card back the other way to repeat on the other side. I used the Cricut and Mini Monograms and cut the scallops at 3.5 on red cardstock. For the label, I used Twilight font and the art function in my word processor to curve the words. I printed it on a sheet of white cardstock then punched with a 2 inch circle punch. I mounted the scalloped circles on foam dots and attached to the card.
I wrapped all the kits in celophane wrap that you can buy by the roll at Michael's. I was able to make 8 gifts and still have left over, so I am guessing you can get 10 out of a single roll. The labels I cut from Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes and More at 4.5 on yellow cardstock. I cut the black scalloped squares at 3.5 from Mini Monograms and the inside squares on white cardstock at 2.5 inches. I found the popcorn stamp at Hobby Lobby in their clearance...so cute and perfect for the theme! I stamped that is black Staz-On, then used watercolors to fill in the image with Stampin Up's blending pens. I used a fine tip marker for the popcorn lettering and sharpies to fill in the frame of the image. I mounted them on the black scallops, then used pop dots to add to tags, after I stamped my thank you in Blazing Red Staz-On on the base of the tag.
Simple teacher gifts for under $5 each! Thanks for looking! April

Tae Kwon Do birthday gift

My son's friend just started TKD, so we thought we would make him a scrapbook page for his wall. The frames are on cheap this week at Michael's...only $3.99! The papers are all stamped backgrounds using "Just for Kicks" from Close to My Heart. The white paper is stamped with Dove Gray Staz-On, the black with Whisper White Craft ink from Stampin' Up, and the red is stamped in Jet Black Staz-On. I typed all the belts on the computer and printed on acid-free paper. The name is cut with Mickey Font on the Cricut. The LO is from Cherish from Close to My Heart and is available at Michael's and bookstores. The karate boy stamp is from Hobby Lobby's wood stamps. I used SU's blender pen and watercolor to color him in. Simple tearing and brads add a finishing touch. Sorry for the glare, but it's hard to avoid with the glass in the frame. Thanks for looking! Monkey Man t-shirt

Here is the Monkey Man shirt I made for my three-year-old. He likes to make monkey sounds and we call him Monkey Man, so I found the cutest monkey stamp in the dollar bin at Michael's. Again, I used Timber Staz-On and slipped a piece of cardboard inside the shirt to keep it from leaking through. I also found this cute swinging monkey stamp and put it on the shirt-tail for a cute view from behind. I am still debating about using the vine stamp on the sleeves in Green Staz-On, but I think it would be too much. Thanks for looking! April

Birthday Cards

This is the Simply Sent card kit from Stampin' Up! This one is called "Rock Star". I got the "Starring You" set from sale-a-bration so why not, right? The kit makes nine cards in all. Here are the three cards styles...all I had to scrounge up was the adhesive, scissors, cutter, glue dots, pop dots, and ink spots. All the paper, die cuts, ribbon, and buttons were included. I think they came out cute, but my only complaint is they shorted me on some of the ribbon. I am really thrifty with ribbon, but I still ended up short. Thanks for looking! April

Cullen Book of Shame

Okay, I have been working on this for awhile now. If you have ever looked at Fanfiction, there are some hilarious stories out there. One of my favorites is by vjgm called Under Arrest. It is stories about how each member of the family has been arrested for some reason or another, and it turns out that Carlisle keeps the mugshots in an album. It goes along with another story called Cullen Family Therapy. So the paper is called Busted and looks like a police report, so I made a page with each Cullen kid. The photos are extras from the trading cards. I used a clip art of the crest and scrapped the rest. The font is the cursive option of Ashlyn's Alphabet. I added a keychain in the spiral along with some ribbon. I also bought an acrylic sheet to make the front look a little more finished. Thanks for looking! April
