Fantastical Father

Here is my hubby's father's day card. I have entered it into Creative Inspirations Challenge 61 and Stamptacular Sundays Dad and Grad challenge.

Image is from Pixie Dust Studio's Harry Potter collection and mounted with dimensionals. Base is Basic Grey with layers of Creamy Carmel. The printed paper is discontinued from Michaels and has a velvet griffin on it. Isn't it awesome? I couldn't resist using it for Griffindor! The ribbon is Night of Navy. The sentiment is printed using Lumos font from dafont, then punched using the wide oval punch and mounted on curby label punch using dimensionals. I added topaz gems and inked the edges with CTMH Brown Bag that was dried on a sponge. I made a bow, then mounted it with a glue dot. I sewed around the edge for some extra texture.

Inside is layers of Creamy Caramel and scraps of Basic Grey and printed paper. I used the scalloped dot border from EK Success. I sewed around the top half of the paper, then stamped the sentiment from a retired Sale-a-bration set. Thanks for looking! April

Grad Anya - Take 2

Here is the card for my sis-in-law's graduation from nursing school. I did the card in her school colors.


The base is Pumpkin Pie with layers of Basic Black and open stock B&T papers. The image is Grad Anya from The Greeting Farm and the sentiment is a retired SU set stamped on a Tim Holtz journalling ticket. Punches are EK Success Pinking Hearts and Dotted Scallop. The inset is mounted on dimensionals, as is Anya. Anya has clear Stardust gel pen used in her hair, tassel and shoes. Stitching in white thread on my sewing machine. The brad is Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby.



Inside, the image and sentiment are from Studio g. All ink is Staz-On Jet Black. Thanks for looking! April

Laugh

I know, two posts in one day. I am posting as I get them done, so hang with me! I love to see my son's face when he laughs...he is very expressive!

The base is Chocolate Chip and the patterned paper is Bo Bunny's Shabby Princess line. A lot of it is school themed. All the pieces are cut at 2.5". The patterned papers have Bo Bunny boy-themed rub-ons. The blue is Bo Bunny Back to Basics and punched with EK Success border punch. The ribbon is Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy. The stickers are Bo Bunny and coordinate with the Shabby Princess. Once everything was in place, I ran it in my sewing machine. Last, I added the matching brads. Simple, but cute. Thanks for looking! therapy

Yea, we not what you think! My youngest has had developmental delays in all areas, so we have spent the better part of his life in some kind of therapy - from physical/occupational to speech. Here is a LO showing two of his therapists and some of their activities.

It is inspired from a Feb 2009 pagemaps. Base is generic cardstock, printed is Recollections. The border punch is EK Success. The little boy is from The Greeting Farms' Roll Call kit. The legos are leftovers from my older son's birthday party and the tile letters are from Spare Parts. It is sort of difficult to see the title in the photo, but it can be viewed better by clicking on the photo. Journalling is on vellum cardstock and uses Comic Sans font. Thanks for looking! April

Titanic

Here is my daughter's 3rd grade class Titanic Exhibit.

The LO is inspired by December 2010 pagemaps. The paper is from Recollections at Michael's and Bazzill cardstock. It is really hard to tell in the photo, but I used Tim Holtz masking stencils (clock and gears) and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch spritz to add a little character and shimmer to the bottom left corner of the page. It's faint, but it is there! I printed the journalling in Andalus and Algerian fonts, then used the pinking hearts border punch from EK Success and Stampin Up. The title and flourish are cut from black vinyl from George and Basic Shapes and Ashlyn's Alphabet fonts on the cricut. The flower is from Michael's Brides brand table confetti and cut apart and pieced together to make the larger flower and the center is a large black skittle. Thanks for looking! April
