Real Life SMASH page

This is an example of an average summer day in 2013 for my family and I thought it would be fun to look back on years from now.  I used odds and ends from K and Co, Sizzix, DCWV, 7 gypsies, Tim Holtz, SN@P and Stampin Up.  I typed the schedule using Newsman, Batik, and Harrington fonts.  Thanks for looking!  April

Happy Hello gift pack

I am always looking for little gifts for last minute needs or for the kids teachers.  I got this great Simply Sent 8 card pack from Stampin Up on clearance for....$2.39!  I split the cards into 2 sets for 4 cards, then packaged them with a topper.  The topper is Basic Grey, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight with touches of Baja Breeze.  I stamped the sentiment from SU's Four You and the Banners are from the new Banner Blast set I got during sale-a-bration (free - my favorite word!).  The base of the topper is dry embossed with the honeycomb folder and the top note die cut, then the topper is attached with Tim Holtz tiny attacher staples.  Two super quick and easy gift sets, ready at a moment's notice!  Thaks for looking.  April

Thoroughly Modern thanks

My daughter was recently in her junior high production of Thoroughly Modern Millie and needed to collect sponsors.  We decided to send thank you notes to each person who contributed and include a picture of her in one of her costumes.  I also needed to keep these as flat as possible due to mailing, so I skipped the dimensionals but added layers of paper products.  I took the basic idea from this pinterest card.  I wanted to papers to represent things related to Millie, so I chose a vintage typewriter and keys, a ledger print, vintage sheet music, and a vintage pattern print.  The papers are kraft, basic black and printed papers from DCWV's Timeless and 7 Gypsies.  The cameo is from studio g clearmount set in the Michael's dollar bin, stamped on Very Vanilla in Jet Black Staz-On.  The cameo is punched with a 1 3/8" circle and mounted on Basic Black circle punched at 1 1/2".  The small doily had the center punched out and hand-gathered around the cameo.  The sentiment is from Tim Holtz.  Thanks for looking!  April

Sweet Pea baby gift

This is a gift set for one of my kid's teachers.  I thought the newest My Paper Pumpkin would be perfect, and added a punch art sweet pea, with a matching card.  The sweet pea is made with SU colors Old Olive, Real Red, and Blushing Bride and inked in Old Olive tad Pink Piourette.  I also added a little white gel pen for accents.  The inspiration for the sweet pea can be found here.  I don't know what the baby is so I decided to keep it gender neutral.  TIP: The yellow SN@P paper matches SU Summer Starfruit.  Sadly, I do not have the ink, so I settled for the Pistachio Pudding green for the bag.  Thanks for looking!  April

Birthday wishes

This is another card made at our monthly stamp club.  It was super easy and a great way to use up scraps.  Colors include Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White.  The sentiment is SU's Bring on the Cake.  This card is a great one to mass produce.  Thanks for looking!  April

Waterfall birthday card

This is the first time I have tried a waterfall card and it is surprisingly easy.  We made it during our monthlt stamp club and I had fun trying out one of the new SU flower sets, Petal Parade.  It also uses the Petite Pairs set.  Colors include Baked Brown Sugar, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cantalope, and Costal Cabana.  Add a little glitter and a pull tab, and it's done.  Thanks for looking!  April
